Products I'm lovin!

This year I have bought enough makeup to last me a lifetime....Mmmm maybe! Lol but lately I have been obsessed with e.l.f and with any brand of bronzer! I've been putting my choice of blush and then adding a nice bronzer over it, which gives me a beautiful glow. I have been using mac skin finish in gold tone and Revlons mineralized skin finish in sunset.  I'm still on the prowl for more so if u ladies kno of any good bronzers for my complexion then post a comment and let me know

MAC mineralized skinfinish in gold deposit

I wanted to do a honest review of these products so I waited until I had used them all for a little while. The skinfinish in gold deposit is the BEST!!! I love this as a bronzer and highlight for my skin tone. I apply my normal blush and then the skinfinish on top of it which accents the blush and makes my cheeks light up when I smile. But it must be used sparingly bcuz it blends beautifully. The MAC fix+ is wonderful. I use this to rejuvenate my makeup and to also make it blend into each other do that whatever I have on won't look so cakey or pasty on my face. This mixture of whatever, does the trick!! Now this was my first MAC cosmetics experience with my bestie and I think I have fallen in love!! Im constantly on the site now checking to see what I will get on my next trip there. Lol Smh complete addict. Now the third product I have there is Revlons mineralized skinfinish in suntan which is much more settle then the MAC one but is still beautiful either way. I use this product the very same way and it looks beautiful when blended correctly. Check these products out ladies they are soooo worth it!!!

My new brush storage using sand!!

I wanted to find a new way to store my brushes and I thought about sephora stores theirs so I copied!! I went and found a bin from the resale shop and bought some decorative sand from Michaels craft store and this was the result!! I can see all of my face brushes without having to move all of them around and I have plenty of room for more as I go!!  The bin cost 1.00 and the 2 bags of sand cost 2.99 a piece! Hope u enjoy the pics!!

34 pc makeup brush set on amazon/ebay

Ok so I just did some research on some new brushes... I looked on nyx website and MAC. I had a order all set and ready to check out on the nyx website, which totaled up to 148 not including S&H. But before I order something I always go and check YouTube for reviews on products,which really helps a lot. So I saw in the search box 34 brush set from eBay. I clicked it and what I saw I wanted right away!! Lol I've never ordered from eBay so I checked out amazon and they have it to. It's a 34 pc brush set for $30-39!! I saw some good reviews on it and some bad like every product but more good then bad. This set includes so many brushes and that's exactly what I need. I want to order two of them but ill stick to one for now until I get that one and review for myself. So stay tuned for my review on that product and go check it out yourself!!!!

Why I blog...

I love flogging because this the only place I can talk about nothing but makeup and people actually care and read it. The many different faces of makeup is beautiful and its more like an art than anything else. But to someone that is not interested in it will never understand that. My fiancee thinks its not important,but he doesn't look at the art part of it. He says why do u buy so much makeup u already have enough at the house. I'm back!!!!!

Well I've been off the map for a while!!!!! so I'm just posting to let you beauties know that I'm back and will be posting many on new posts from now! My phone was broken and I had to do an insurance claim. So I just got my new phone,so anyway, I have picked up so many new products in the mean time and I ordered Avons new foundation and powder so I will have that tonight to review about. Then afterwork today I'm going to rite aid to pick up more of the wetnwild colorstay lipsticks. I have fallen in love with them! They really do last much longer than my nyx lipsticks but they r all mattes so a gloss is a must have with this lippie. Go check them out while the sale is on they are 2.99 and buy one get one free. Riteaid cosmetics haul!!!!

Hey subbies!!!!! I just recently picked up some products from the drugstore. They have physicians formula cosmetics on sale for 40% off. I always thought that these products were a little pricey for a drugstore product but with 40% off, I decided to give them a try. Now the eyeshadow palette is very pigmented and I love the colors. Which are suppose to be perfect for brown eyes.I love the packaging,cuz it feels very sturdy and good quality. It kind of feels like glass almost. The blush/bronzer I picked up Mmm...I don't really like the blush but the bronzer is ok but just not enough shimmer in it for me, it just doesn't look "bronzy" lol but I think maybe I just picked the wrong Colors for my skintone not because its a bad product. Then I saw they had wetnwild cosmetics on sale for BOGO half off now if I hadn't already cleaned up on wetnwilds products then I wudve been excited lol but I did pick up a eyeshadow quad which will be posted here. Along with a black gel liner which is a replacement to my old one at home. Which dried out on me quickly ...cuz I left the top unscrewed  lol ooops!

My makeup storage

I found these stackable drawers at family dollar for only four dollars apiece!! and they are soooo cute!! very roomy and sturdy and they click together to make them sturdy when stacked together. I got the first one to put my forever growing lipstick collection and then want back and got the second one for my growing blush collection! yea I'm a blush whore lol lol so I hope they keep those in stock cuz I will be going back to get more as my collection grows. but just in case I'm thinking about goin back next week and getting like 3 or 4 more just to make sure I have them when I need one. what do u guys think???

My review on Avons mousse foundation

As I tweeted yesterday for those of you who have followed me, I wore my Avon mousse foundation all day yesterday. I put it on at 6am and didn't take it off til 2am. I added powder and a lil blush throughout the day but overall it lasts wonderfully I had a creamy smooth look even at the point before I washed it off. It was very nice. It feels light like a powder but has the coverage of a liquid foundation. Especially after being set with my face powder. I applied it with a sponge and it went in so smooth and blended very well. It almost felt like putting on lotion. But mind you I did put on the face perfector first so maybe that had a big part in its lasting capabilities. But however, I now have a secondary foundation to use!!

My side hustle

ok so I'm thinking about getting a part time job at the MAC cosmetics counter just for 1 extra money to buy my makeup lol and 2 just for more experience and putting my talents to even more use. I love beauty products I love to talk about them and play with them and since its way less expensive then my smart phone addiction lol Ive decided to look into that and see if I cud get hired in. so as I apply for more and more jobs I will keep u guys posted on what goes where as far as interviews!!! if any of my followers is already employed in such a job please post a comment on what u think about the job.

Blush blush and more blush!!!!!

Blush may come as a cream, gel (mousse), or powder. Cream or gel blush has better staying power, while powder blush comes in larger variety of shades. On bare skin or over foundation you may use any texture, according to your preference; however, if you use facial powder, then applying powder blush on top is your only choice.

Products with a dual function—such as blush and lip colour—are designed to accelerate makeup application. However, these products are more properly classified as stain rather than blush, because staining is exactly what they do. Stain as a blush may be a good choice for oily skin, but it doesn’t usually contain the oils essential for hydration and well-being of the lips.

Colour

Your choice of blush colour will firstly depend on your complexion—light, medium, or dark—and secondly on the look you want to achieve—fresh or structured, natural or made-up.

If you wish to add some freshness and a healthy glow to your face, choose a shade from the cool palette. Any kind of pink is a good choice for lighter complexions, while cool berries and plum shades will work for deeper skin tones. Don’t use cool blush with lipsticks in brown or orange shades.

Warm-coloured blush with orange undertones is best for contouring the cheeks, giving definition to the face. Choose a shade ranging from delicate apricot, for a fair complexion, to burnt orange, for a deep skin tone. Don’t use brown or orange blush with lipsticks in cool shades.

Shades between the cool and warm palettes are universal; they suit any complexion, and go with any lip colour. Peachy for light skin, rosewood for medium skin, or red for dark or black skin; these are a must-have for every woman.

Natural shades such as nude, beige, or brown are mostly neutral or warm-coloured. They have a low concentration of red pigments, and are therefore well-suited to application all over the cheeks, essentially serving as bronzers rather than blushers.

If you really know what you are doing, you may use two blushers; a dark warm or natural shade for contouring, and a light pink or neutral shade to add a healthy glow. Blush with light shimmer will add luminosity to your face, and looks especially good with evening makeup, but don’t overdo it on oily skin or plump cheeks.

Application

Liquid or creamy blush is usually applied with the fingers on bare skin or on top of foundation. Powder blush is applied with a medium-sized flat brush on top of your facial powder. You may apply powder blush on bare skin or over foundation, but be sure to take the blush sparingly on a very soft brush so it doesn’t streak. Add a thin layer and blend to see how you like the brightness, then add more if necessary (you may use a different shade) and blend again.

Lip tips!!!!!

Lip Tip: Line your lips with a soft lip pencil and use a sponge applicator to blend your lip edges.  This will make your lips look fuller and sexier.

Lip Tip: It's best to smooth your lips with a waxy lip balm, like Chapstick, and use your fingertips to massage the balm into your lips.

Lip Tip: Make your lip lines disappear by applying your lipstick vertically instead of horizontally.

Lip Tip: If you have thin lips, use a lighter colored lipstick.  A dark shade lipstick makes your lips look smaller.

Lip Tip: Dab a touch of gloss in the center of your top lip.  This will make your mouth look pouty and sexy.

NK HD single eyeshadows

I have bought almost all of these eyeshadows and I love them all!!!  These shadows are very pigmented and with my Jesse girl eyeshadow  primer last me all day! They come in mattes and shimmers and range from neutrals to very bright neon colors. Now these shadows don't have names they go by numbers and my personal fav is no. 3016 which I use for my work and  everyday neutral look. Then to mention that the price is VERY cheap for the quality of these shadows only 1.49 and even as low as .99cents at various beauty supplies. So please ladies run to ur local beauty supply store and pick up a few or all of these shadows!!!!!!!!!

New love for lashes!!!

I've never been to big on the lash thing but now!! I can't get enough of them!!! I want more and more! I really like the look they give me. I have been working wit the strips I don't like the individuals yet. Its so much easier for me to take the strips on and off. The only down side about them is the more u wear them the more u grow to dislike  ur own lashes lol. Now even wit mascara they seem small and don't give me the dramatic eye I want. But ill get use to it lol  take a look at some of these looks wit my lashes.

My hair routine

I tried a new style (full closed sew-in) and I love it!!! So easy to manage and style!  I don't have to worry about pressing my hair every day or even sweating it out at parties or work or anywhere for that matter. So Its perfect for the summer for me. Take a look!!

All my nyx fans!! Nyx has a bundle sale going on right now. It started April 22nd and ends may 3rd at 12pm!!!!!!! Ladies get those orders in asap !  I saw some nice bundles I ordered the nyx chrome loose eyeshadow  bundle it was 55.00 for 55 shadows!! They also have round lipstick bundles but I have majority of them already so I stuck wit the eyeshadow !  OK just a Lil FYI!!! 

My new sew-in!

OK so I tried a new color and look this time for the summer. I got a Burgundy black color. Its very pretty and I love it. I got it completely closed this time I didn't leave any of my hair out. That was a first I was always scared it wud look like a mop. But once I cut and curled it it came out beautifully. I also was given a tip with my last one to not put grease or heavy oil sheen in it. It weighs the hair down and it wont curl even with heat. So I did that and it curled perfectly the first time I didn't have to keep goin  over it. So I wont be putting any grease in this one. Lol lol so look at my pics. ..what do u guys think????

Caant find the perfect foundation or powder.

I have been trying to find the perfect foundation and powder. What I usually use is zuri loose powder in nuit. And I love it! But...it has red tones in it which r starting to make me self conscious about my natural look. I don't want it to be such a contrast from my neck and skin tone. I have tried avon,zuri,kiss and various others,and i havent found one yet.now i know im not the lightest but im not the darkest skin tone out here either lol why is it so hard to find a foundation and powder i like without all the red tones? Anybody know any good products that cater to us dark skin sistas?! Please share info in my comments?!   

My thoughts on nyx products

Round lipsticks- I definitely love these sooo much!!! I have over 30 of them for sure lol. They glide on really creamy and silky. Very vibrant and beautiful colors. My favs are Hermes and Aphrodite

Single eyeshadows- I only have two of these and I like them but im not in love. I have purple and rust. they r very pigmented  but all of the colors just don't pop to me.

Cream glitter palettes- I have three of these and I love them I wear them when I go out at night just to make the shadow pop. I have the silver, brown and purple palette. They r easy to use and come with a sponge and brush applicator.

Shimmer pigments- I have like three of these in black,purple,and brown. I love the purple I haven't used the brown one yet. But they do look nice when applied the right way. Just a Lil messy tho.

Jumbo eyeshadow  pencils- I have these in black,slate,lilac, milk,and gold. These and very useful and easy to use especially when doin precise lines. They glide on very easy and creamy unlike most shadow pencils that r very hard and tug at ur eyelids.

Megashine lipglosses- I love these also!! They r very pigmented and creamy. they don't dry ur lips out and they come in beautiful colors.

Eyeshadow  3 quad palettes-i have five of these and They r basically they same as the singles. Pigmented but not a lot of colors pop out to me. But thats just me.

Nyx lip liners- I like these but don't use them a lot. But the are smooth and creamy. Pretty colors and last long time.

Nyx blushes- very very very pigmented I only have two but I like them very much. They don't have any real plum colors for dark skin females but I did find those two that do the trick. Pecan and dusty rose are nice for women of my skin tone.

Went to a hotel bday party last night wit my fiancee and some of his friends lol and just so happen his ex girlfriend was there looking a hot mess! Lol we have been together seven years and this girl is still in love wit him after all this time smh. What's   wrong wit her? ! Lol she drunk herself in depression last might just she cudnt take seeing me and him together happily lol lol lol that shit is not cute booboo smh .  She thought I was some ugly bitch that she wasnt going to feel intimidated by oh but boy was she wrong so wrong lol lol yea boo he stepped his game up and got a bad bitch!  Get over him!!! Lol then to add to that she has gotten fat as hell ill be honest and say when she was smaller she was a pretty girl but the weight she gained made her look so bad unfortunately. I mean im not a skinny girl either but she's two of me. Well I honestly feel sorry for her cause she can't let him go after all these years smh  so to be honest there is no battle I clearly won. Im a makeup addict  and im constantly buying new products. I shop beauty supply cause I have kids so I can't afford MAC all the time. But I LOVE nyx cosmetics to death!!!!  I have almost every nyx lipstick and I never paid over 1.50 for them. So anyway just a Lil about me! I got off work today and came home wit a fuckin attitude out this world lol like I don't want to be bothered talked  to breathed on NOTHING!!!! lol what's up wit that?! Im usually fun and excited that im off work but today was just too much for me I guess. Or maybe its cause my kids are out of school and home driving me nuts!!! Lol anyway, what do I do about it? I need a stress reliever ASAP!
